From Hiroshima Station, take the Kabe Line bound for Aki Kameyama and get off at Furuichibashi, then take the Hiroshima Electric Railway Bus bound for Sandankyo for about 1.5 hours (¥ 1590) From Hiroshima Station, get off at Yokokawa on Sanyo Main Line (to Itsukaichi) and take less than 1 hour by Hiroshima Electric Railway Bus Sandankyo Route (¥ 1610) It seems that it depends on the route. The dishes are Ayu dishes and so on!
It's okay.
There were so many places to see in Japan, especially this place where the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. This building was still standing as today when it happened, but surrounding areas were totally destroyed. Today , the whole town had come back alive and beautiful, but the scars were still lingering at this place. People here were so friendly and respectful. By the way the foods here were so good and delicious , I loved the noodles , they were fresh and chewy.
Although there’s a language barrier people were so helpful with little language they know to help you out to find your way around. Trains are ok the dot so don’t be late at least a second. Make sure to be in time as early as possible. Trains run through country side with a beautiful scenery of paddy fields. Great opportunity for tourists to see the true beauty of japan.
Thank you hiroshima station
A very busy & clean station. A lot of places to eat.
Very organized station, many guides helps you in sufficient english
At last a good JR station at the west. Much easier to navigate and wider than station in Shin-Osaka
Huge Food Court area!!! Very simple to navigate and signs and markings are in multiple languages. Staff very friendly and helpful if you get confused or lost.
Very good station, clean and quite. The shingansen was also comfortable!
Information centre has lots of staff to help with buses and the ticket office makes it easy to book your tickets. Downstairs is a food emporium near the buses while u wait check it out.
recently reconstructed with all necessary facilities like food courts, clothings, souvenirs
Sure, there are more impressive train stations out there but this one is pretty well-put together. I took the Shinkansen (bullet train) here and back during my time in Japan. The staff was also friendly as well.
Big train station, completed with tramway and bus stops. Many shops and conveniences, clean and nice station like all the big ones in Japan. Nothing special here, nothing bad, nothing particularly interesting.
Nice and clean.Easy to find your way through.Lots of shops and restaurants. There I had one of the best dishes ever !!!
In general this place is nice, but one accident made me write this opinion.Today (15.07.2019) at one of 7 eleven shops I was paying with 5000¥ for 260¥ worth of stuff. And the cashier gave me change like if I was paying with only 1000¥ bill. So I was robbed of 4000¥ which (for me - a poor exchange student) equals meals for two and a half days. I was in rush while traveling and I noticed it too late - about four hours later.
Station has shops.. But hardly any seating..Also once you go thru the shinkasen barrier, there is hardly any shops.. Needs improvement
Nice friendly Stuff and everything is written in english
Hiroshima Station has on-time trains and some great restaurants
Lots of shopping and dining options within the station.
Big station. They have coin locker you can put your stuff and enjoy walking around.
Fantastic train station. Super modern train station. Great way to connect between cities. Super clean station. Helpfull staff to help you get around. Almost all staff can speak good basic english. Good experience. Took my first shikansen train ride here. Systematic station. Sells good hot food and drinks. English signage all around so you wont get yourself lost.
Very convenient, spacious with Jr line and Shinkazen so close.
Great transport hub and volunteers are well-placed during busy hours to help tourists. Your JR Pass will give you free hop on & hop off access to the Hiroshima tour bus that has 3 lines ( green, orange, lemon) going to all the popular places. Also, great food (1F, e.g. Bakudanya noodle shop) and shopping (2F) options.
Easy to find your way, good English signage. Lots of little shops to get snacks and souvenirs while waiting for your train
Very boring and total opposite of friendliness and modern... However this is the best place if you ever want to to play hide and seek, because this is not a station... It is a perfect Labyrinthe where you can lose your sense of direction and wonder around in circle..Peace!
Some of the store located in the station now is partially closed due to covid-19
For visitorsTo Miyajima, transfer from the first platform to the ferry at Miyajimaguchi Station. If you are hungry, try the Hiroshima specialty “okonomiyaki”.
Pretty easy to get around. Very clean and well maintained. Many signs are in English so if you don't read/speak Japanese you can still make it around ok.
Now that the work is almost finished for the new transfer between the north and south exit, navigation inside the station got a lot easier.Around and inside the station are a lot of shops and restaurants. Post office and bank for money exchange is also close.
The heart of Hiroshima connecting people to all of Hiroshima has to offer and beyond. For most who take the Bus Limousine from the airport, you will arrive at the South gate. A big food court at 1st floor awaits as well as restaurants on the 7th floor. Shopping mall and shops within. Walk across to the North gate where trams and buses will take you to other places of interest (e.g. Hiroshima Peace memorial, Hondori shopping arcade, Castle, etc).
This is one of the best station I has ever been. There was volunteer information personnel all around the station which will advice you on how to get around Hiroshima.
The staff at the information desk were awesome. After arriving here, make sure you go to the " tourist info store" and they will give you a map with the best attractions in the city. Also, make sure you use the " red buses' if you have a Jr pass, makes it very easy to navigate the city.
Very modern, bright spacious station. 7/11 on platform 14 for Shinkansen. Many rest areas, with wall socks to plug into for charging your phone.
Nice navigation! But try to get in advance because ways are quite long.
Nice and big station....i like the street train the most.....Nice place to visit....
Nothing to say but amazing
The bullet train is super fast and super efficient. It is pricey! I think I paid around £80 for the ride between Hiroshima and Fukuoka.
Wow, enormous, clean, tidy, well laid out, loads of shopping and places to eat
Great station to get to and from other Japan cities. But this station isn’t too great if you were looking to get around within Hiroshima unless you do the red bus tour. Great shops and 7-11s.
Very efficient and busy JR station
Very easy to understand the trains and buy tickets
JR pass is worth to get when u r planning to visit around places nearby! Free boat trip to 宮島 and free airport transfer by JR train if you buy JR pass
The very bery busy station. Everyone looks like in a hurry. Japanese walks really fast, so, watch your step. If you want wo walk slowly, better you get out of the line. There are so many stores that sold snacks and omiyage too. Like shin-onomichi station, here in Hiroshima Station there is a mini-cultural exhibition in every wall in the main hall. That is really interesting, I do love it. You can buy one day pass here, one ticket for 1000 yen to get free (as you want) ride for bus and Hiroden (Hiroshima electrics railway/street car) in the entire Hiroshima City and ferry to access Miyajima island. You don't need to pay for entrance ticket to Miyajima island if you have one day pass.
Perfect organization. At this station there is no way to get lost, which in my opinion is not so obvious in Japan (Yokohama and Ueno as bad examples).A good selection of shops and places where you can eat something.
Super modern station, well marked, its not possible to get lost there. Moreover the information stand is very useful, the ladies there speak perfect English and are very helpful. At the back there are interesting sculptures.
It was so beuatiful it was like seeing two suns
